Welcome back, Paul! After well over a year, Paul was able to come up for the weekend to help with the rough plumbing installation and offer some expertise. Along with Bob and Jeff, the three guys tackled the bathroom first, setting the drain lines for the bathtub, toilet, and sink. They also started the first of two vent stacks that will eventually run up through the roof. Jillena changed gears and worked on the south wall in the laundry room.

With the bathroom out of the way yesterday, the guys made good headway on the rest of the drain lines today, leaving only the elbow up into the kitchen sink and the remainder of the 4" main with connection to the septic outlet to do. Once that's done, and the vent stacks are run up through the roof, we can get the plumbing inspection done.

Today we finished up the kitchen sink drain line and installed the laundry box. We also ran another 10' stick to the 4" main approaching the septic outlet. Only the connection to the outlet remains. We decided to bring in a few boxes of belongings as well, and get them stored up above on the 2nd floor beams. I guess we "unofficially" started moving in today.

Paul and Jeff made the final connection to the septic outlet today but forgot to take pictures of it. We'll post those in a few days. After that, they decided to set up some scaffolding on the 2nd floor beams and cut the holes in the ceiling for the two vent stacks.

A few days ago, Paul and Jeff pieced together the last few elbows to connect the main drain line to the septic outlet. We'll be getting a lift in another week or so to help us get safely up onto the roof to drill the two vent stack holes. Soon we'll be ready for the plumbing inspection!
Tonight, Jeff installed a few switch and outlet boxes. no additional Plumbing pics for today |

Today was an interesting day. Jeff's uncle rented a Sky Jack for us to use this weekend so we could safely get onto the steel roof to install the vent stacks. Paul and Jeff took on that job while Bob started framing the pockets for our pocket doors. Later, we worked on a little wiring.
