A view from the Sky Jack. That's LouElla, Stephen, and Anna down there. |
|
The pilot holes have been drilled through from inside the house and Jeff is getting ready to cut down through the roof with a hole saw. We used an aluminum ladder braced against the Sky Jack to safely climb up the pitch. The upper end is resting on cardboard. |
With Jeff inside feeding the vent pipe up through the ceiling and roof cavity, Paul reaches down through the insulation to guide it up. |
|
Holding the pipe up while Jeff primes and glues the bottom end to the coupler down below.. |
Jeff fit the pipe and coupler together inside so Paul leans on the pipe to apply pressure for a few seconds while the glue sets. |

The ladder was just long enough for Jeff to be able to sit on part of the cardboard and brace his feet against the ladder. |

Ready to slide the boot over the pipe. |

Bending the boot flashing to fit over a rib in the roof panel and screwing it down. |
Issac and Nathaniel (Tom and Huck) floating on their homemade bark raft on the nearby pond. |
|
Here's a better look at their raft, without any weight on it. |

Paul sleeping, I mean applying pressure to the coupler while the glue sets. |
