Earlier today, Ted, Bob, and Mike worked on the insulation and lath on the back wall while Jeff installed more corbel supports and drip caps. Later in the evening, he started on the insulation that needs to go up on the upper 2 feet of the basement wall. Braces made of scrap wood screwed to the joists above held the panels in place while the adhesive dried.

After installing more drip caps during the daylight hours, Jeff returned to the basement to put up more wall insulation. The adhesive from last night was plenty dry, so the braces came off.

Tonight's project was putting up two sections of insulation - one on each side of the GSL. For a tight fit, the panels were partially scribed and trimmed around the GSL and girder.

Over the past few nights, and a couple of hours tonight, Jeff finished off the east wall and most of the north wall.

After rearranging some shelving so the upper concrete form ties could be knocked off, Jeff put up the first panel on the west wall.

Jeff put up a short panel to reach the girder support post, then moved another wall shelf on the other side of the post to make room for the next panel.

Continuing along the west wall, Jeff put up the next panel which was a full 8-foot piece.

Jeff wrapped up the basement insulation project tonight after our first day of milling logs on site. Jillena also stopped out for a bit to do a little more work on the doors.
