Jeff installed pressure-treated drip caps on top of most of the windows and window headers on the rear wall. Each cap is cut so that the top slopes to shed water. Each piece overhangs the front edge by about 1/2". Jeff also worked on the soffit paneling and the front door opening.

10-27-10

Jeff spent most of the day working on the front wall, installing drip caps and siliconing the windows. He also installed a few corbels under some twin double-hung windows that needed extra support. Bob was on the scaffolding working on the back wall, and Brendan stopped by and did some interior insulating.

It was more of the same today on this cloudy, windy day. Jeff installed more drip caps on the front windows, siliconed around them, and spray-foamed any small openings on the front wall. Bob continued on the back wall with the foam board and spray foam.

This afternoon, Jeff installed more drip caps. It was a very gloomy day, threatening rain all afternoon, but the rain held off. After sunset, it was back to the basement to put up more wall insulation.
