Jillena was busy sanding and staining the door panels in the basement and working on the log insulation. Outside, Jeff was installing corbels under the last window that needed extra support.

Jillena was hard at work again on the interior insulation this evening while Jeff stained batten strips. Earlier, Jeff was outside finishing up the siding boards and Jillena was in the basement scrubbing and staining more of those moldy siding boards.

Jillena made some good progress inside on the insulation and lath while Jeff was outside putting up batten strips on the north gable wall.

Today, Jillena progressed along the west wall with the insulation and lath. Jeff got more batten strips put up outside on the north gable wall.

During the day, Jillena and Stephen worked on the west wall insulation together. Stephen put in all the little pieces he could.

Jillena was hard at work insulating the west wall while Jeff finished up the board and batten on the exterior of the north gable wall. All of the scaffolding is now inside and ready to be set up on the west wall so we can insulate the upper half.

Jillena was up on the top scaffold level, insulating and stapling lath today, while Jeff was on his own scaffold tower, installing the 1/2" siding material on the north gable wall.

Lots going on today. Jillena was working on prepping more of the west wall for chinking. Bob continued with his project of laying out the 2nd floor beam locations on the girders. Jeff finished off another ceiling fan and moved to the south wall for more gable siding work.

Jeff and Jillena worked on separate projects today. Jillena continued prepping the west wall for chinking and Jeff finished the interior gable siding on the south wall.

Jillena was working on the middle of the wall today. Jeff and Bob laid out more 2nd floor beam location measurements, and Jeff did a little more work on the recent ceiling fan he put up.

Tom surprised us by giving up part of his day to help Jillena with the west wall insulation. They actually got quite a bit done, despite Tom being a bit "unfocused" at times. :-) Meanwhile, Jeff was busy adding the exterior buck extensions to the front door.

Jillena was, once again, working on insulation. She's nearing the end and we'll soon be ready to chink the west wall. Jeff was working on the front door exterior trim.

Jillena's just about finished prepping the west wall for chinking. She's been working on this almost completely on her own. We hope to be chinking next weekend. Jeff put the finishing touches on the front door trim and added the drip cap.

Jillena is finishing up on the west wall, getting it ready for chinking next weekend. She spent the day cutting and stapling some lath strips for the last few feet of log gaps. Jeff installed a few more window buck extensions and finished off the front door project.

Today was going to be a dedicated to final preparation of the west wall for chinking tomorrow, but we were ahead of schedule and decided to start chinking with just Bob, Jillena and Jeff, and John mixing. We got a little over 5 complete rows done. We'll finish the rest of the wall tomorrow.

Our first indoor chinking party. Let's see, we had Bob, Yvonne, Tom, William, Keith, Ryan, Fletcher, Ella, Marcy, Jeff and Jillena for today's chinking crew, with John outside mixing. Our team was so efficient that we chinked some of the north wall as well.
