FRAMING & DRYWALL

7-29-11

The early stages of the sink and countertop support.   A few hours later, and Bob was finished. We then set the countertop and sink in place for a dry fit. This was a garage sale countertop/sink combo that we had planned to use until we can finish the kitchen the way we want it later. So, for now, this countertop will not fill the entire space we have allotted for a nicer one.

Jeff tore down some of the drywall work he had already done over the pocket door outside the bedroom because the scrap pieces were creating very uneven joints. Now the wall looks a lot better.   Drywall-taping around an outlet in the hallway.

The taping and patch work in the hallway outside the laundry room.   The laundry room is ready to mud. We still need to hang the short row of drywall along the top of the wall.
