Here are our two matching dutch entry doors. One is for the main front entrance, and the other is for the side entrance. These are salvaged doors that came out of a chalet on the Finger Lakes. Frames and threshhold are complete and intact. All the original iron hardware is in working order. Jeff disassembled these doors in preparation for installing the frames in the next few weeks. In the evening, it was back to putting up more radiant insulation.

With the doors disassembled, Jeff got to work stripping the stain and paint off of them. The product we used only required a minimum 15-minute set time before scraping, so while he waited for it to work (on the edges of the one of the door sections in the picture), Jeff worked off the ladder platform to staple more radiant insulation up in the joists. The platform fit nicely over the door panel on the sawhorses.

No additional door pics for today.

Today was focused on stripping and sanding more of our entry doors.

More work on the doors today. While waiting for stripper to work, Jeff also put up some insulation along the exposed basement wall.

More progress on the doors. Jeff got the lower door finished. Now we've got one set of doors ready to stain. A few more insulation panels went up today as well.
