Jillena painted the outside of the bedroom entrance wall today, and Jeff installed an outdoor outlet on the rear deck. This wall isn't just solid green, but includes slightly raised leaves scattered about and textured "wisps" of wind for a truly outdoors feel. Great idea, Jillena!

While Jeff was at work, Jillena painted a work of art on the stairwell wall adjacent to the green bedroom wall, to create a transition to the other stairwell wall which is blue. (A pic of the final result will be posted later.)

Jeff was involved in two projects today. We battled carpenter bees last year, which seem to like the brick moulding across the tops of the windows. They're back again this year, so we bought a paint and stain additive that will repel these destructive insects and mixed it into a dark brown stain for the windows. Jeff started with the basement windows today. He also trimmed out the bedroom pocket door and tacked on the original casing.
