This 5-1/2" plate represents the "wet wall" that will separate the kitchen and laundry room. This wall will enclose most of the plumbing for both rooms. Jeff drilled holes in the plate for each water feed line and just set the plate on the floor for now. It will get screwed to the floor once it's cut to exact length after determining the location of the wall that will run perpendicular to it.
