This notch is about in the middle of the future fireplace.

When the fireplace goes in, this section of the log will come out and the single conduit drop will become two - one on each side of the firebox.

Conduit is connected and run down through the floor.

Now all the wiring has been pulled through.

This is below the front door, where two conduit drops come down through holes drilled in the first course log. These two drops are for a pair of outside lights - one on each side of the door.

The wiring is also in for the switch boxes at each entry door.
