The cutouts were made with a reciprocating saw. |

A dry fit before laying the construction adhesive. |
To get the piece to fit around the pole, the straight piece fitting between the poles was cut off. Look closely between the poles and notice that piece missing. |

Then that little piece was placed between the poles for a complete look. Everything lines up nicely. Time to lift the two pieces and lay down some adhesive. |
Both pieces are glued down and screwed. |
