Jillena and Jeff worked at hanging the basement entry doors in the evening. Here Jeff takes the planer to part of the casing board.
Here you can see the shims that have been used to plumb this casing board. We used one rough-cut board on this side of the casing and across the header, but used a thinner 3/4" board on the other side to get the correct width across the opening. All casing boards got screwed to the form boards.
     
A look at one of the doors after fastening its hinges. One more to go.
Once we were satisfied with how the doors hung and closed, Jillena installed a spring-loaded bolt latch on the "dummy door".
