We used some scraps of 3/4" Advantech as our form boards. The patio slab will be 4" thick to match the basement floor at the threshold, but only 3" over the frost wall. Here, Allison sets the top of a form at 3".

Jillena helped Allison set many of the boards, and when they were done, Allison and her parents headed home.

For the rest of the day, Jillena and Jeff graded the stone with a 1" fall away from the basement wall so water will shed.
