Matt trimming the knots off before hooking up the block and tackle. The White tractor is ready to pull the fall line from the block and tackle at the opposite end.

Here is a closeup of the same fall line in the previous pic passing through a single pulley chained to the lowest overdangle. This keeps most of the force on the upper pulley block straight down on the lifting pole. Attaching this pulley to an overdangle as shown in the pic keeps the force on the pulley directed inward toward the butt end of the adjacent wall.

Finishing up the knot trimming.

Matt and John tie a fall line to the Ford tractor.

Looking up from the outside of the house after lifting the log and resting it on top of the wall.

After Jeff and Matt plumbed the butt end, Matt got right to driving three pins near the corner. Before calling it quits for the day, they also got the opposite end secured with two pins.
