The pulley blocks are rigged and ready to lift the next log out of the snow for some knot trimming.

Off in the distance, John ties the rope fall of the block & tackle to the front of the Ford tractor. Difficult to see in this pic, but the fall actually comes straight down the outside corner of the house, then through a single pulley chained to the bottom pass log. This keeps the force on the lifting pole directed downward and prevents having to pull great distances.

With Jeff and Ryan up on the wall, and John operating the two tractors, the log went up smoothly. Here it's sitting on the wall, strapped in place, ready to be plumbed and pinned.
