Ted adjusts a few things up on the wall while Jeff lowers the log from the tractor. |

With one end down, Ted begins plumbing and securing it so the opposite end can pivot and be set down in its plumb position.Ted drills |
Ted drills the hole in the pass log to accept the rebar pin that will get pounded through and into the butt end of the log they just set. |
|
Jillena came out for a little while to pound some rebar. Here she is driving the horizontal spike into the hole Ted just drilled. |
Ted continued with his "favorite job" working his way down the log, while Jillena finished her rebar pin. |

Nobody pounds rebar like Ted! |
Look at him go! |

Jeff doesn't just take pictures. Here he's using the chop saw to cut some rebar pins. |
Sunday was definitely the nicer of the two weekend days. The mud is slowly drying up and we hope to start spreading some dirt soon to work the drainage. |
|
The day was spent moving the next four logs off the racks and placing them around the house, then trimming the knots off. |
John carries the log for the south wall to the house. |
|
With the dirt pile in the way (under the blue tarp), the log will have to be set down to one side, then slid across toward the opposite side. |
John uses the backplate of the forks to push the log into position along the south wall. |
|
To make things a little easier, and to keep the log free from mud, we set the log on smaller log "rollers". |
The tractor is still making ruts in the soft ground. Good thing it's 4-wheel drive! |
|
Dragging one end of the log leaves a muddy trail. |
John pulls the log into position on the west wall. |
|
Hooked up to the fourth log, Jeff and John did their best to keep it out of the mud. |
Pulling a log from the distant rack across and onto an empty section of a closer rack was one way of keeping the log clean. |
|
John hooks up on the "drier" side of the closer rack and continues pulling the log across. |
