After a little shoveling, we went to work drilling the holes in the third log.

It's been great having Ted help out. He brings a whole truckload of tools with him! Here he is using his own beefy 1/2" drill motor to auger another hole.

Ted uses an angle grinder to lop off the tops of the rebar pins before setting the log.

We started with the top end of the log first, and got a few pins started in the holes.

Then we lowered the butt end to get the rest of the pins started.

The top end needed a little help, so after taking the reciprocating saw to the end to trim off just enough...

...Ted gave it a little extra "encouragement..."

...and the third log came down...

...and so did Ted!
