After a little shoveling, we went to work drilling the holes in the third log. |
It's been great having Ted help out. He brings a whole truckload of tools with him! Here he is using his own beefy 1/2" drill motor to auger another hole. |
Ted uses an angle grinder to lop off the tops of the rebar pins before setting the log. |
We started with the top end of the log first, and got a few pins started in the holes. |
Then we lowered the butt end to get the rest of the pins started. |
The top end needed a little help, so after taking the reciprocating saw to the end to trim off just enough... |
...Ted gave it a little extra "encouragement..." |
...and the third log came down... |
