A few shots of yesterday's accomplishments. This is a view from inside the basement looking at the east wall.

From outside the house, looking at the east wall. Notice the "pass" log at the far corner from the north log. The east log "butts" up against it, hence the "butt and pass" corner method. The east log "passes" by the south wall. The south log will "butt" against it.

The south log ready for drilling. What you see here is the log with the thin plywood templates nailed in place on what will be the bottom of the log. You can also see the pink string line referencing the log's centerline.
