Lydia works on a freshly-peeled log to use as another runner for Rack #5 if we need it.
John used the Clark to move 4-5 logs at a time back to the rebuilt Rack #1. Wrapping chains around each bundle helped with weight shift on the forks.

Carrying a bundle of logs is a snap with the right machine and a little ingenuity.
It's not pretty, but it works. The chains help keep the logs from rocking off the forks.

A local curious resident pays us a visit.
The "blue wonder" slides easily under the cambium layer of the bark.

Truckload #4 arrives right on time.
The 3rd and 4th loads averaged thicker logs.

Going up!
A larger log bowing under its weight.

Our friend Rob lended a hand unchaining the logs. We can always find something to do for our volunteers.
For this load, we removed the bolsters, chained all 6 bottom logs together and lifted them off with the Clark. This eliminated potential damage from sliding the logs along the bottom metal rails.

>John carries this last load to Rack #4.
Paul strikes a pose after cleaning the bark pieces off the truck.

A perfect end to a hard day's work.
