The log truck arriving at our meeting location near the highway. How exciting!
Jeff and the driver look over the load.

The log truck following close behind.
Pulling into our lot.

Heading back to the unloading site.
Jeff checks some of the log diameters.

We experimented unloading with two forklifts. This proved fairly successful with no damage to the logs.
We soon switched to a chain-type sling over the forks of the larger machine.

We used the smaller forklift for stability and the larger forklift with the sling to carry most of the weight.
That's our friend Steve and Jillena's dad on the truck hooking up the chains.

With the large forklift out of service now, we improvised. Pulling the logs off the back and lifting the front end with chains proved most efficient.
Using the chain slings on each end eliminated any possible damage from the forks.

Paul had brought an old firehose that we tried using as a protective sleeve for the chains.
The last log! This was a big one so we doubled the chain slings on the butt end.
