Cutting another kerf in the end of a beam.

It took a few slightly undersized logs to get more beams, which meant having to leave some of the crown.

Bob marks the longest usable part of this beam. The rest is too rotten.

Here's the pile of beams we couldn't get any useful material out of. Once we got into these logs, there was too much rot.
