LOG MILLING
12-04-10

We cut most of the log sections to 13'6" since that's the longest beam length we need. This log has just had the first crown shaved off on top.
Two crowns have been taken off (left and bottom). Now we're working on the top, taking off a few 1/2" slabs for siding before we get down to the width we need across the top surface.

On to the next log. Dave stands behind the controls while the blade carriage moves along on its own.
Another 1/2" slab cut finished.

Time to roll this one.
Taking off the last crown to make this beam square.
