EXTERIOR STAINING & CHINKING
11-20-10

We usually don't tolerate lying down on the job, but Jon gets a pass. Here, he is working on stuffing batting in the front wall. Jon was part of our indoor crew.
Ted shows Jeff a trick of the trade for blending the wet mortar into the dry mortar around the corners on the adjacent wall.

Doug was our right-end corner man...
...while Ted was the left-end corner man.

Ben (and Dave) took much of the middle section.
At any area where the lath bent away from the foam board, we pushed a screw with a washer through the lath and into the foam board. This held the lath in position while the mortar set.

Jon was making great progress inside, working his way up to the top of the 1st floor windows.
Here's Doug working his way down the corner.

We're over half-way done at this point.
John was our mixer today.

Our afternoon indoor crew included Paul, Matthew, William, and Alissa.
The entire exterior is chinked! HOORAY!
