Stephen and Jillena had a lot of work to do in the garden, getting a few more vegetables planted and watered. Jillena's family arrived today for a week-long visit to help us get the electrical work ready for inspection.

Paul spent most of today grading around our front yard area on the excavator and dozer. The younger ones had a great time watching.

Paul ran the excavator again today, moving dirt on both sides of our driveway and filling in some of the front yard where he had scraped harder stuff over to the driveway.

We got a few loads of dirt today from a local bridge project while Jillena was working on the bathroom floor, and Jeff and Stephen were on drywall duty.

Rusty came over today with his Kubota backhoe and dug a small trench next to the house so we could finally bury our propane line. We can now set the concrete slabs near the side entrance and build the entry steps. For our inside work, we got the bathroom toilet set.

The dirt has literally been piling up around the front yard area. Today we got a few more loads. Inside, Bob built the temporary support for our kitchen sink and countertop. Jillena and Jeff made more progress on the drywall work.

Paul took care of all the dirt piles around our front yard, then regraded our back yard to help fix our ongoing drainage problem. Inside, LouElla (with a little "help" from Stephen) primed the area around the kitchen counter and Lydia primed the laundry room. Lydia's friend Michael, along with LouElla, Ruby and Jillena, were busy stuffing insulation in the east wall. Jeff custom-cut and hung two more sheets of drywall in the stairwell.

Out in the front yard, Issac, Nathaniel, and Stephen sculpted our front yard, building roads, fields, and bridges with whatever they could find. Inside, Jeff and Paul laid the flooring on the staircase landing and our chinking crew was busy in the southeast corner of the house.

We got some millings delivered today from a local road project. It was only 3 loads, but it was enough to give the upper part of the driveway nearest the house a decent coating. The main focus of the day was addressing the one lone issue the building inspector pointed out when he did our C of O inspection this past Monday. We had to make some modifications to the side entry steps.
