Jeff began reassembling some of the windows on which the stained had dried enough to handle...
...while Bob got to work framing and trimming the window casings.

We bought pressure-treated 1x6s to trim out the windows, and fastened the boards to the casing with finish nails.
A closeup of how much we had to frame in one of the casings to get the opening down to rough-opening size. In this picture, we have nailed a 2x across the header, and a 2x with some 3/4 scrap along the side.

A closeup of the trim on the same window.
The east casement window is framed in and trimmed.

Bob works on the Utility Room window frame, making sure the top and side boards are plumb with the wall before securing.
The Utility Room window is now framed in and trimmed.

A look at both casement window openings.
Next it was time to set our first window. We decided to try the easiest one to handle - the double-hung for the Utility Room.

Jeff checks the window for level from the outside.
Bob tacks the window in place with a finish nail in each top corner of the brick moulding.

Using a putty knife to remove the jamb liners...
...so the window frame can be screwed to the casing. Bob used his impact driver with headlight for this job.

Putting the jamb liners back in.
Our first window is in!
