As soon as Paul arrived, we got right to work on tamping the stone. Here, Jillena is raking the stone while Paul runs the plate tamper.
A bit later, Jeff was back to pressure-washing and Paul was up at the peak taking measurements for the north end piece of the ridge cap.

To reach the top logs, Jeff had to get himself up under the east roof overhang.
Paul dry-fits the end cap to make sure there's enough overlap when we tuck this piece under the existing cap.

Cutting the end piece to length.
Later in the evening, Jeff and Paul went back to work on the floor. With more string lines tied up at head level, we used a concrete hoe with a long handle as our measuring stick.
